Sandakan, Sabah

I was in Sandakan , Sabah from 31st October - 2nd November 2009.
These are some night shots of Sandakan market place taken around 9-10pm.
I park my camera on the roof top of the hotel(Nak Hotel) and they had a 360 degree view of the entire landscape. Its fairly quiet and calms.

Adapted from Sabah Tourism
Sandakan is located on the eastern seaboard of Sabah; it is a city which is steeped in history. Its character is shaped by the hinterland that embodies Sabah’s rich and diverse biodiversity in all its glory. Sandakan has a mixture of people, lifestyles, cultures, and faiths.

Gua Charas and Sungai Lembing, Pahang

by the end of last month (October), me and Nicola was in Kuantan for business matter for a week.
we took a opportunity to travel around and found some really interesting place. We went to Gua Charas , Sungai Lembing and Pantai Sepat.

Adapted from Pahang Tourism
In the Malay language the word 'Gua' means cave. The Charas caves lay about 25 kilometers northwest of Kuantan at Panching on the Sungai Lembing road.

Adapted from Pahang-Delights
Sungai Lembing, a somewhat "sleepy" town in Pahang, located about 42km from Kuantan, was, in the early 20th century, once known as the El-Dorado of the East.

It was the place in the East where financial riches were made. It had then the richest deposits of tin ore in the world, second only to Bolivia

The tin ores in those days were mined underground via various levels of tunnels. And eventually Sungai Lembing developed and had the largest, longest and deepest subterranean mine in the world.

Smokehouse - Fraser's Hill

A friend of mine came back from a faraway land, so we took her for a ride around the central region and along the way we're detour to Fraser's Hill and we had tea in Smoke House Fraser's Hill. The place is very decently maintained , well the gentlemen that served us tea was the boss sadly. The surrounding is kept cleaned so we took advantage and took some photographs.

Well what turns out good is only this piece(in my preference). Anyway , it is still a good experience and they serve good scones(in Malaysia).

my advise: Do your homework before going for tea, eat it in the common english way not the local ways. Cheers
